The program provides produces with protection against an unexpected drop in prices on cattle and hogs over a defined period of time.

Farm and Ranch Water Infrastructure Program                             The Farm and Ranch Water Infrastructure Program (FRWIP) supports the development of secure water supplies in Saskatchewan to expand irrigated acres, the livestock industry, encourage rural economic activity, and mitigate the impacts of drought under four program categories: On-Farm, Agricultural Business Development, Community Well, and Irrigation District.

On-Farm Food Safety Implementation Program                           Producers receive training and funding directly from the associated commodity organization. They do not have to be members of these organizations to access programming.  As programming differs by organization, producers should contact the respective commodity organization for details.

Livestock Loan Guarantee                                                     Saskatchewan Agriculture and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada have an agreement allowing the Livestock Loan Guarantee (LLG) program to administer the interest-rebate portion of the Federal Advance Payments Program (APP) in Saskatchewan. This program allows producers in feeder cattle or bison associations with an eligible feeder advance to apply for a portion of the interest paid on their advance to be rebated through the APP.
